WNR July 14th

Postby charlie » 11 Jul 2010, 20:41

I was thinking of leading a ride the 14th, we will meet at Frischs in Blue Ash on Plainfield Rd. at 5:30pm and leave about 6:30. It will be somewhere around 25 to 35 miles. Start in Blue Ash and end in Silverton for ice cream.

I'm going to try and make it too, can you post an exact address for Frisches on Plainfield Rd and the same for the ending place in Silverton. I need to map out a non highway route that hopefully wouldn't take me forever to get to? Thanks, Dan

If Alex decides to stay at Kings Island all evening, I can make it. Along with the addresses, can you give us an approximate time you think we will arrive in Silverton for ice cream? Just want to be able to make sure I can get back home and pick him up. thanks!

What, when, where

Postby Bonegirl » 14 Jul 2010, 05:57

I Googled Frisch's on Plainfield:

Frisch's Big Boy Restaurant - http://www.frischs.com
9070 Plainfield Road
Cincinnati, OH 45236-1202
(513) 891-3080

I'll be there early for dinner so I'll see you at 5:30, Charlie!

Thanks for taking the lead and accomodating everyone's requests for times, addresses, directions, ETA's, etc. 8)

The ride will be around 1 hr. +. We will end up at the Italianette Pizza , for soft ice cream. Their address is 6916 Plainfield Rd. Silverton. Come a little early for some dinner and strawberry pie, at Frisch's.

Charlie, you are such a tease! I LOVE Italianette Pizza...but I know we are going to Hold The Nuts ice cream (next door).

PS Just found out they are owned by the same people. This is the best pizza I ever ate...except for the no-longer existing Godfather Pizza (I don't think the gas station varieties count).

Thanks, Charlie. Its nice that the ride ends a few miles down the road from Frischs still on Plainfield Rd. It makes it easy for me to get back home again.
See you around 6:15.

Thanks to scootering, I can get home from just about anywhere now. I pass the Pizza/Ice Cream place every day on my way to and from work so I have some nice roads home from there. Let me know how you plan to head home and maybe we can ride out together.

That would be great, Angie. Coming down I will take Rt 4 to Glendale Milford Rd to Plainfield Rd. I rode to Kenwood Rd before in about 45-50 min. I'm open to any way back as long as I can get back to Hamilton in close to the same time frame?

Okey doke

Postby Bonegirl » 14 Jul 2010, 13:25

1) Italianette is next to Montgomery Road. I take Section Road (from Montgomery and Plainfield) to Reading and you can shoot Reading Road all the way to Glendale Milford to Route 4.

2) Section to Reading to Galbraith to Route 4 (that may be easiest of all)

Just don't want you to backtrack towards Kenwood if you don't have to.

Maybe look at Google map if you get a minute. See what you think. If time is the most important thing, we can look at quicker routes.

They all look pretty close. The fewer turns the better, I have a bad sense of direction- ha ha!! As long as I can get back to Rt 4 I'm good :)
