Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds

Unread postby burgman2170 » 04 Jan 2012, 10:28

Ok I received a Hammacher gift magazine last week and they had a pair of Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds for sale for $79.95. I thought this might be a good investement IF they work riding a my bike. With wind noise I would think Earbuds would work better than a Bluetooth helmet. Since this is a wireless unit I was wondering if anyone here has one. I could use it with my ipad or my i phone keeping the unit in my shirt or pants pocket while riding.

Thanks
Les

First if you can fit an I-Pad in your pants pocket that is amazing. Second, I don't think that I-Pods have the A2D2 (or something like that) technology to do stereo Bluetooth music so only 1 ear-bud may work if at all. If you do get past the first two items they last would be a major issue. If you wear a helmet would the headset fit under your helmet. Since I do get to sell a few models like these I know they are usually thicker that normal. They stick out from your ears which would cause some discomfort. I would not by out of a catalog but I would go into a store and see if they will let you try them on with your helmet. If it is comfortable I am sure it will be cheaper to buy a BT headset rather than a whole new helmet! Let me know what you figure out though!

Thanks! I ment to say I-Pod or I-phone. There is no way a I-Pad is going to fit in my pants or shirt pocket. Maybe in the dash. The picture of the earbuds in the catalog look small yet you make a good point. Will they fit in my ears with a snug helmet on? Next there is nothing said about stereo in the catalog advertisement but it does say it works on any unit with Bluetooth. Plus you can switch to phone calls if using a I-phone or Android.

You say you sell models like the one I described? Where is your place if I may ask? How much would a helmet with Bluetooth cost me?
Thanks
