Here it is in the middle of January (middle of Winter!) and the forum actually has had a tremendous amount of activity. Every time I log on (which is daily) I have to catch up on 17, 21, etc... posts.

Glad everyone is having a great time with it and most important of all, hope all this leads to another ride with Friends around the bend. :D

Newbie here!

Unread postby lauryka1969 » 01 Feb 2009, 11:12

Hello Everyone!...I'm a newbie here. I just bought my first scooter. Well I can't say it's my first since I did have a moped when i was in high school but that has been eons ago lol. I bought a Hond Ruckus.... (little ruckus). I call it "piglet" since it's to little to be a "hawg"...lol.

I'm hoping to find some fellow scooterists' in or near Mason Ohio that wouldn't mind a tag along when they ride.

Welcome,

I dont live in the area, but I know I will be making some rides out to Cowan and Fort Ancient when the weather warms up.

I'll make sure to yell , or you can let us know when you will be doing some riding.

Hello!
I have owned my Burgman 400 for nearly a year but am new to this site. A retired senior citizen and an avid golfer, my original rationalization for purchasing the scooter was to putsie around town to and from the golf courses, save a little gas, and have a little fun. Now, it has become more than that, and my wife and I have taken it camping, among other things. The rack I built to carry the golf clubs is plenty adequate to carry camping equipment quite nicely within reason. Almost like backpacking on a scooter. My wife was never a scooter advocate, in fact, before I got it she said it would be over her dead body that I get a motorcycle...I kept my end of the bargain. Anyway, she is not too keen about riding on the back, and has no desire to get her own, so what could be some real fun is limited to solo for now. I joined this site to keep in touch with local scooter events and will perhaps participate. Hamilton is my mailing address but actually live closer to Seven Mile.
