Surely I am not the first new person, maybe something got deleted. I feel like the first person to stand up and talk at an AA meeting or something. :?

Anyway, I am Vic from north of Columbus, I am a member of the Easy Peasey Scooter Posse and heard about your scooter games so I decided to come and check it out.

Happy to be here.

Cheers,

I'm glad you broke the ice, Vic. This is a fairly new topic. When it was first put up, it was at the bottom of the board index.

Welcome, Vic! We are truly a wild bunch here. Similar to the Peasys in that we are not a club, just a group of wild and crazy scooterists!

Hi guys, I am happy to be here. If this is where the loons hang out, I am in the right place. Yes, I am Squad 51 (I grew up loving Emergency! and became an EMT because of it.)

Right now I am stuck in a shoulder sling and swath from a bum shoulder. I told my ortho doc that I need to be back in riding condition by the begining of April. I got my priorities! We have to try to strengthen up my shoulder before we can attempt surgery, it is in pretty bad shape. Fortunately, the upright riding posture of a scooter is great even if you have bad shoulders.

I have a sunset Buddy and a Sym RV250. The battery in the Buddy fizzled out after Scoot a Que and I have a skirt for the RV which makes all the difference with cold weather riding.

I already have arrangements for WKRP 2010, right on down to my dog getting his shots in March so he can stay at the kennel that weekend. I went last year when it was over my birthday-got lost and signed up for Verizon Navigator when I got home and will have it on my phone again next time I try to find my way in your fair city! Navigation is not my strong point. :)

Cheers,
Vic

I can relate

Unread postby Bonegirl » 30 Dec 2009, 10:20

Hey, Vic! Having had both my shoulders rebuilt from mountain biking injuries, I can totally relate. But once they were repaired I have had no problems. The post-op was lengthy but I had some serious damage. But again, the outcome has more than made up for it. See you at "KRP!
