What a fun weekend! And congrats on 2nd place, Ben. Fun to see the photos. Glad the weather held out for the racing.

I had a great time and like Bonegirl that is the worst wind I have ever ridden in. I almost turned back at one point. I ended up on back roads so I could slow down and control the bike. Kevin an Diane put in a ton of work. Nice campgrounds, although I stayed in a B&B, camping days are over..LOL. They had two big tents and picnic tables, tons of food, great music and a lot of great stuff to raffle off. Three nice jackets, seven helmets and tons of other really nice things. I met lots of fun people and hope to go to more rallys this summer. The area roads are really wonderful, lots of curves and hills and just charm. Downtown Nashville had a parade Saturady morning that was cute and the shops are always fun.
I'm sure I will go again next year and may try a cabin since they seemed really nice.

Hey Coralee! What a committed scooterists for Friday's wild ride to Bean Blossom. Here is Diane's report below!

I wanted to share the outcome of our great weekend. We had great weather Friday and Saturday until after 12:30am Sunday morning. But even the rain that came in then didn't stop the party. Our entertainment was awesome. We satisfied the palets of anyone there with a variety of live bands. Tyrone Cotton came on just as the rain started and provided an intimate performance as we all gathered up on the stage with him...on the banisters, stairs and sitting on the floor all around him. When the rain got a bit heavier, we just moved to a room behind the stage, provided by the Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park and Campgrounds and Tyrone shared his incredible talent that had everyone totally immersed. Taylor, of The Wallings Jr, the band on prior to Tyrone, gave him a break by touching our souls with his guitar and singing talent. He turned it back over to Tyrone. mesmerizing his audience until after 3am this morning! Thee Flying Carpets started Saturday evenings line-up of entertainment and had the crowd moving and grooving to their rock and variety of music, costumes and affects, including visual psycodelic oils on a screen behind them. Then came The Wallings Jr, a husband-wife act that held everyone's attention with their Indie flavor, mixed with a variety of other styles of music. This couple has incredible talent and stage presence. Friday night, The Twilight, a family band playiing country, "rockahippie" and hippie style music caught the attention of the entire campgrounds. They are remarkably talented, with a 15 yr old female lead singer (guitarist/mandoline) and a 12 yr old female drummer (singer/manodlin). Dad was on the guitar with awesome stage moves and Uncle on bass. This group was loved by all and drew people from all over the campgrounds, in addition to the people there for the After Party. Two delightful women (Barb and Virginia) rode in from Wisconsin on Helix's, a really cool group of guys came from Missouri, scooters came rolling in from Cincinnati (very cool meeting Bonegirl and Lagerhead), Oxford OH, Indianapolis, Dayton, Sulpher Springs, a couple different parts of TN, Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort...pretty much all over the place. There were 6 different Scooter Clubs represented there that I know of, which is very cool. We had good food, great raffle items and a memorable weekend! Old friends, new friends...it was the BOMB! We worked really hard and got great sponsors on board to help us pull this off. We had some really awesome people pitching in to help with the set up, grilling, stuffing the Promotion Bags, even had volunteer security there throughout the event! With this being Derby weekend, the bad weather in the Ohio Valley and the confusion with posts all over the internet that there was no AFTER PARTY, we didn't have the crowd we could have had or would have had, but everyone there had a great time...which is what it was all about. The 20'x40' tent worked out perfect! Our photographer will have the pictures posted on our site soon, so be sure to check them out. We had raffle items aplenty which allowed everyone there to go home with something. It was in the true spirit of "scooter family" that initiated people picking things from the table they knew someone else really wanted and walking over to give the item to them. This went on throughout the raffle. It was awesome! Kevin and I worked really hard putting this together, under some very difficult circumstances, but with the help and support of club members, other scooterists and our sponsors, we did it! This weekend was, from the beginning, to be all about getting scooter enthusiasts together for a great time. We're happy to have been able to achieve that. This After Party is an event that will be talked about and remembered for a long time. Just wait til our next event!
