Saturday ride July 2nd

Unread postby burgman2170 » 28 Jun 2011, 22:52

This will be the second Saturday in a row that I got off and I'm looking to do a ride. I was thinking Rabbit Hash or out in Indiana. Does anyone want to ride on Saturday?

It looks like Sheila's Wednesday night ride has been moved to this weekend.

Although, Saturday or Sunday is yet to be determined...

Not sure about plans for Saturday yet but will check back and post if I can ride with you all. Definitely not riding on Sunday though.

I'd be more than happy to call a ride for Saturday, but I don't want to conflict with anyone else who wants to do one. The one I have planned will start at my house up by Kings Island. We will ride for about a half hour, stop at Putter's for lunch or dinner and then ride out in the country for about an hour. I think I found a really good path that covers Mcmansions by a golf course, past the old powder factory in Kings Mills (with a very sharp turn), some former Homerama homes, quick trip through South Lebanon, then throughout the rural curvy roads of Warren County.

No set time, I am open. I am just a little pressed for time and can't go as far as Rabbit Hash and Indiana. I have been busy packing. I start my new job with the City of St. Petersburg on the 25th.

If you are pressed for time & would like to get in more riding, I say we skip the eating part and just ride. We could meet at your house around 1pm, ride and be done by late afternoon. I personally am not a big fan of the dinner meets on Wedniesday nights because it shortens what is already a small window to ride in and not get home after dark, depending on how far away you are? I don't mean to sound anti social, I don't eat out much, it just seemed like last year we spent as much time at a restaurant as we did riding??? I'll go with the flow though. I guess you are leaving us for Florida?? Congrats, you lucky duck!!!!

We will have to squeeze in a big "Farewell to Sheila" ride before you leave. My brother has been in FL for many years, after getting transfered from Chicago, what a switch. I'm sure there are scooter clubs all over St. Pete's but I hope you will still say hi to all of us on here from time to time.

So what's the plan?

Unread postby Bonegirl » 01 Jul 2011, 08:35

I still don't see a final plan.

Sounds like a lot of interest in riding so someone just needs to commit and get this party started!

Ok, if anyone wants to show up at my house (7800 Strawberry Hill Lane, Maineville) at 1pm, I'll be here and ready to lead the Warren County ride.

Count me in, Sheila. I'll be there, possibly with a motorcyclist good friend. See you at 1pm :)

Ride number 2

Unread postby Bonegirl » 02 Jul 2011, 01:00

Looks like we went from "Maybe a ride on Saturday or Sunday" to 2 separate rides for Saturday. :?

Be safe and have fun.
