This is weather permitting. Which means wet roads, rain, or snow the ride will be cancelled.

A ride out to the Christmas Ranch.

I'm still working on info and will update later.

Hey Mike, this sounds like a good idea. I'd be up for it weather permitting  . Thx for attempting to get it together :)

I might be interested too (weather permitting, of course). I am not quite ready to put the scooter up for the winter. What/Where is the Christmas ranch?

Light show

Postby Bonegirl » 01 Dec 2009, 22:24

I'd like to be able to go late afternoon so I can see the light show. Ya' know?????

Are we getting a discount if we come as a group in our scooters?

Let's find a dive to stay overnight! Maybe we can stay with the elves at the Ranch.

Nice Angie!

Well, I was given a mini tour by Mike Fuches last Friday and it was great. Got some free hot chocolate out of it. :P

Anyway, I figure we can meet at the Speedway on Loveland-Maderia Rd & Hopewell at around 3pm & leave at 3:30pm. Please note, the Speedway is now where the Marathon used to be.

It will be around an 18 mile ride to the Christmas Ranch. I figure, if anybody would like to stop at the Valley Vineyards we will be passing by there. I'm not sure if they will be open or not.

If for some odd reason the weather is not good for riding. :snicker: We could still meet at the same place and drive up there.

Here is the route I have planned:

When we leave I have a different way back into Loveland and maybe stop at Cindy's Tavern. OR we can spend the night like Angie wants to do! I got dibs on the building with the trains!

Also I must mention:
-There is a $12 fee to get in ... I'm not sure of a discount if we all ride up on scooters. I have not had time to call them yet to ask.
-They have food up there. Pizza, popcorn, pretzels, some other surprises, & I think BBQ!
-They will have a fire going outside.

The website says $12/carload so I figure we should at least talk Dr. Fuchs into $12/4 scooters. I'll check it out, Mike.

Here's the reply I just received from The Christmas Ranch. It's what I thought they would say:

"THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION,

SCOOTERS ARE WELCOME. SINCE WE APPROXIMATE 4 PEOPLE PER CAR AND THE PRICE PER CAR IS $12.00, WE WOULD CHARGE $3.00 PER SCOOTER.

HOPE THIS HELPS

SANTA"
