Found a new way and a much better road to get up to Miamitown. 50 to 128. Much better road than East Miami River Road. I will be there as long as nothing comes up.

Gonna' be a hot one!

Unread postby Bonegirl » 22 Jul 2011, 15:19

Well, Kids, it's gonna' be a hot one tomorrow so if you can bring something to hydrate yourselves, do it. I may even pack some rain gear just in case we are in the an area where there might be a chance of rain.

If you get to BP before us, introduce yourself to anyone who has a Lost Onez vest. They really are super nice people.

If they say the ride leaves at NOON, they will most likely leave at noon so don't expect "scooter time" to work here.

Hope to see a lot of you tomorrow. 8)

Today's the Day

Unread postby Bonegirl » 23 Jul 2011, 09:49

Today is the Poker Ride with the Lost Onez.

The Poker Rides I have been on in the past allow people to leave at staggered times and go at your own pace. You end up being backed up often at the Card Stops so you might as well all go at once.

But with this one being a last minute ride, not sure how Toe Jam is going to proceed. It will be great, regardless of what happens.

Have a fun day and ride your own ride. It's all about getting home safely!

Thanks to Ben, Deb and Les for joining in this ride today. The Lost Onez are a good crew. Here's me and Ben's pictures combined:

What a great leisurely day on this ride. Just such a nice bunch of guys/gals. Nice new roads to ride on, liked doing the combination of stops to chill on a hot day and socialize with some good food and drinks at our own pace even though I got a terrible poker hand :x

Thanks to the Lost Onez for including us so graciously on this ride and to Ang for letting us know about it. Good to see them again. Really enjoyed it and our friend Joanie enjoyed it and them as well. Great photos too Ang & Ben, thanks also for sharing :)

The Poker Ride yesterday was great. The route was well plannned out. I especially liked the roads around the river in Indiana, narrow roads but well covered by shade. Very cool in two ways. Cool roads and a cooler ride better than the sun. The bar in Brookville had some good food as well. Pictures look aswesome but it looks like I need to drop a few pounds.

If we keep doing these rides we'll never lose weight, Les! That Cuban sandwich I had at Ye Olde Shack was mouthwatering and delicious. Looks like a ScooterCincinnati destination for sure. 8)
