Rabitt Hash Run 8/8 all scoots

Postby Docbob84 » 04 Aug 2010, 09:51

Hey Scooterdave Seth and a few others are running to Rabitt Hash this Sunday August 8th.

All scoots are welcome and this ride is open to all skill levels . If you know some one who wants to take their first 30 mile ride bring them along.

Details...Meet up at Montgomery Inn Boathouse parking lot @ 1 to 1:30 then shove off for the Anderson Ferry on the Ky side to meet up with westsiders or late comers @ 2pm (1400 hrs). Then thru Petersburg to Rabitt Hash.

Feel free to split off At the Hash to comeback any route or slow ride back past the Airport to Mainstrasse for some brews/Dinner at the Cock and Bull on Mainstrasse. That is by Paul Brown stadium so folks can roll their own from there.

My cell is 859 814 1444 so call for questions.
Peace out it is about the ride

If I can get Melanie to ride with her "internally deranged" knee, we wil try and join all at Anderson Ferry, since we'll be coming from Rising Sun....weather forecasts look pretty gud at this point.

I have some new Harley buddies who have never been to Rabbit Hash and I have promised them a ride. Maybe we'll meet you or see you down there. Thanks, Bob!

I would love to go on this ride, but I don't think I can make it. I think I'm going to have to taxi Alex to and from the St. Margaret of York festival. :(

The Scalded Hog

Postby Bonegirl » 06 Aug 2010, 06:17

The Hash has a new addition: The Scalded Hog. This is a food trailer with a big ol' smoker on the side and lots to eat.. It is a welcome site for folks who ride long distances and need some grub. It is straight ahead as you ride into Rabbit Hash (sits where the old hay trailer used to sit). The owner plans on having everything from Italian fare to burgers and fries.

Unfortunately, Mel's knee was not up to the run, so on Sunday am., we decided to cancel--both of us were really disappointed to miss a fun outing.

Not to worry, Ed. I go down there a lot. We will make plans for another trip before year's end. Alex suggested the last weekend of August but I may be out of town that weekend. It will happen again.

Sounds like you and Sarah came up the Indiana side after crossing the dam---you went right past Mel and I sitting at our camper on the river bank at Little Farm on the River--just past Grand Victoria and about a mile before that lovely picture of the bridge construction. I had the scoot there, but was somewhat frustrated in not riding it except there and back to its garage in Mt. Airy.

MOSC ride

Postby Bonegirl » 10 Aug 2010, 23:00

Just saw the picture of the MOSC group. Nice picture, Doc. Sorry we didn't get to hang around and ride with you all. It was nice to see the Abernathy clan again.
