Rabbit Hash Saturday July 2nd

Postby apsman » 01 Jul 2011, 08:37

So it seems we have a little bit of wishy washy on getting a ride called so here goes!

Meet at Burger King on Colerain Ave at 9:30 leave at 10am (Real Time not Scooter Time!). We will ride out to Rabbit Hash by way of the wonderful Anderson Ferry($2 per bike) You can meet us at the UDF across the street but the route to the Ferry is one of the best routes in the city!

We will hang out at Rabbit Hash for a little bit and head on down to the Dam for a short stop to check out the river and come back through Lawrenceburg! Long ride for what looks like to be a wonderful day! NO RAIN IN SIGHT WOOHOOOO

If you need to give me a call my number is 513.307.6252

Sounds good to me. Coming from the east side so I will meet you all at the UDF on 50. I have the entire day off so the time of the ride means nothing.

Thanks

Meeting at UDF

Postby Bonegirl » 01 Jul 2011, 09:45

I think it will take a good 45 minutes to an hour to get to UDF. So Les should figure on 11am.

Les, send Alex a PM with your number in case they get held up or have any scooter issues on the way to meet you.

I can get to UDF around 45 minutes from Fairfax. Not much morning traffic. I can be there at 11:00 at the latest. My number is 513-678-2170. On this side of town not too many people ride. Matter of fact I know only three people who even have scooters over here and none of them would even consider taking a long ride. Since I have a Burgman I can keep up with any motorcycle on rides and have been on a few the last month or so but haven't been to Rabbit Hash this year. Never been on the Ferry before so that might be cool and never been on that side of the river going to Rabbit Hash.

Thanks
Les

Ok, Carlo and I will meet you all at Burger King. He will be heading there on his own from Oxford and he is riding a red ninja.

First ride up for grabs

Postby Bonegirl » 02 Jul 2011, 01:04

Well, it's a shame another ride was called after this one but whatever works for everyone is fantastic.

This is always a good ride and a lot of fun.

Maybe Sunday we'll get another ride in as well. It's all good! :D

Just remember that Sheila was the original ride leader and that this ride derailed hers, not cool . I guess if you don't finalize fast enough then you lose your spot? I'm glad I'll get to ride with her probably for the last time before she moves.

Yes, unfortunately with the way most people are on this site they like to make plans. If you call a ride you need to post times and meet up places. If you don't people cannot make plans. Not everyone has a full day to commit to riding. So if there are no plans they will not go.

Asking people if they would like to ride, or saying hey it would be great to ride, or well maybe Saturday or Sunday we can go do this is not calling a ride! When I posted this ride no one knew what day or time this would happen or even if it would happen. It is great you can get out and ride but when details are posted less than 24hours from the start time do not be mad if other rides are called or no one shows up!

Honestly all I care about is getting out and riding! If 5 people call a ride at the same time I am going to do the one I think sounds the most fun to me. So really who cares! I wish everyone who rides a great safe day!

Gee I didn't know this was going to be a big deal a few days ago. I just wanted to know if anyone wanted to ride on Saturday. One person maybe two who ever may be interested. It now looks like I may have rocked the boat. If so my apologies. No big deal!

I know everyone has a busy schedule believe me I surely do. Saturday is my day off so I sent a note here just to see if anyone was interested. This is not a formal ride just a fun ride. If nobody shows up not big deal I am still going down to KY.

Thanks

I apologize for causing such a conflict with my comments, I should have kept my thoughts to myself. I hate drama so I sure didn't want to be the one to cause any. Sorry to everyone.
