Ohio YSR League (OYL)

Unread postby Dr Moto » 13 Jul 2010, 12:24

The Ohio YSR League (OYL) has been racing YSR's, Motards, and Scooters since 1999. After speaking to Scott Smallwood and OYL President Brian Conrad we have decided to see who wants to get scooter racing going again in Central Ohio.

The next OYL event is July 24th @ Circleville Raceway Park in Circleville Ohio.

We need at least 3 riders to make a class.

Safety Rules are similar to the NASRA drag race requirement but with some notable requirements.

You must wear leather or anti-abrasion riding pants. I was told there are two leather suits you can use possibly but its something you would have to talk to OYL about.

You must have a oil catch can for oil vapor and fuel overflow lines.

No antifreeze in coolant system

You must wear high quality leather gloves.

Your oil fill and drain must be safety wired (Google it)

You must wear at least Motocross style boots or Motorcycle racing boots. No work boots allowed on the track.

Cost:

$8 Gate fee

$10 Transponder fee

$5 one day temporary OYL membership

$25 first class $20 second

If you never raced with OYL before your first class entry is free.

At this time we have one dedicated rider and need two more to make a class.

Any takers?

YSR? OSL?

Unread postby Bonegirl » 15 Jul 2010, 12:21

Please tell us what all these initials stand for? I couldn't find it. Thank you.

The bad news is me and Ben are having a party that day so I'm hoping all the scooter trash on this Forum are gonna' be at our place. If it weren't for that, you know I'd be up for that racing biz! 8)

YSR = Yamaha YSR-50. It's a little 50cc racing motorcycle.

OYL = Ohio YSR League.
