Newbe to site

Unread postby sweet pea » 06 May 2010, 09:51

Hi, I am Sweet Pea. I have been riding for a year, but just learned about this site. I would love to find folks who would like to ride on Sundays or any time during the week. I don't work (as a former educator I got to retire really early) so I am also available during the day.

Looking forward to riding with you soon.

Hi Sweet Pea,
I love riding but at the moment I do not have a Scooter. Just thinking about getting back into riding. I really enjoyed it in the past and would love to do it again. I am retired and could ride any time and if and when I get one, I will be in touch.

Hi, I am back to ask where you live! I am in Fairfield. I guess if I found someone to ride with more often I may be more apt to get that scooter. I just joined the group on this past Tuesday!

Thanks, Sarah. My name is Lois and I am having a very hard time figuring out how to use this site. Maybe it would help if I used it more often.

Welcome Sweet Pea & PerkyBarb,

I'm very close, up in Hamilton so anytime you would like to ride then let me know. The easiest way I've found to navigate the site is to go to the board index where all of the listings are and click what you are looking for, rides, rallies etc. The more you check it the easier it gets, there is a whole lot on this board. There are a lot of great people on here :)

I want to thank everyone who has contacted me. Part of my problem is that my life is so full. I just got back from NC and Cleveland. No, I did not ride by scooter to either place, although I would like too sometime. In NC I stayed at the Little Switzerland Inn in Little Switzerland. They cater to motorcyclists. I stayed in the Diamondback Court and loved it.

I hope some of you get a chance to go there sometime in the near future.

After talking with Angie, the torch has been handed to me to lead the August 14th Second Saturday of the Month Ride!
We are asking for everyone to meet Saturday around 1:30 pm. We will meet at our computer store (http://www.rhtechnicall.com) at 1:45pm and the ride will leave at 2:15pm sharp (UNLESS, I get some folks that need a little more time to make it here; CALL ME) from the parking lot of the Amelia Shopping Center, information and map information below.

RH TechniCall next to Buffalo, Wings & Rings.
Here is link map to my store: (From I-275 & SR-125 Bechmont Ave) MY STORE IS THE B DESTINATION ON THIS MAP:

Our ride will begin with riding down Merwin 10 mile towards 52, then we will take left turn and head East towards Maysville, crossing bridge where we will stop for FOOD around 4:15pm or so. We will then continue West on Route 8 in KY back thru a scenic ride of the riverside and then over into Ohio again, finishing up at the boat ramp parking lot near the Majestic Riverboat.

We are planning on stopping at CHANDLER'S or some other place if we see it in Maysville to eat lunch.

I am estimating this to be about a 4 hour trip with 1.0 hours FOOD time included. Gas breaks will be made along the way as needed for scooters with smaller tanks etc.

Please respond to this post or call me to let us know if you are coming. Randy Cell: 513-256-6040

Thanks!,
