New Givi Topbox or Trunk

Unread postby burgman2170 » 10 Apr 2011, 09:44

I just purchased a new Givi Top Box or Trunk for my Burgman 650. Of course it is Italian it came from Italy and all the instructions are in Italian. So on Friday I got my bike and plus the parts and the box looked at it all and decieded no way am I going to tackle this task. Living on the east side of town the only Burgman dealer is in Fairfield.

The question I have does anyone here know of a place on the east side of town that can put on a topbox for my scooter. The Fairfield dealer will do it but it may take two weeks as he is backed up with work.

Thanks

I have gone to this place a few times for service/tires and the guy there does good work for a pretty reasonable price. They work on all manufacturers of bikes/scoots, have parts, etc. They also have/sell and put on the trunks there for Burgmans. I actually plan on purchasing one there soon that is removable to have for the upcoming Rally trips, etc and the guy there told me he could put it on for a good price as well. I know it's not on the East side, but if you would want to check it out and see when/if they could do it for you? Couldn't hurt :) I usually got an appointment in just a few days and just for this, hopefully it shouldn't take too long. Good luck :D

Pefect! I will call them on Monday. Thanks

The GIVI top box I just purchased is removable. Good size box for a good size bike. The one that came with it no name brand that came off on the highway last year. Thank God it never hit anyone. This is the last thing I need to get done in the bike this year and then I will be ready to ride long trips.

I can't belive it. I just looked up the location of SportTour and it is right across the street from where my nephew works. I was at his place of work on Saturday getting my fiberglass on the back bumper welded more securely on the trike set. I will set up an appointment on Monday. Thanks again!

Called for an appointment took the bike Sport Tour and it was finished the next day. Sport Tour estimate on labor for oil, filter change and putting on my GIVI trunk $119.99, Burgman Dealer in Fairfield $239.99 with three week turn around time as they are very busy. No brainer Sport Tour rocks. From now on I'm taking my bike to Sport Tour.

Sport Tour

They really have been super friendly and helpful every time we've gone there.

Me and Lagerhead ran into Ray down in Harrison one day on a ride out to Indiana. It was a Sunday and he was working on getting the music ready for the service. We stopped in front of the church to adjust mirrors or something and here he was coming out to get more equipment out of his van. You never know where or when you'll run into people.

He works on bikes in the back of the shop and one day I went in and you could hear this guy singing "Wild Thing" along with the radio and I was absolutely cracking up! Had to go back and see who it was.

Glad they were good to you.
