Some of you may know me already.
I've been involved in scootering in Cincinnati since 1986.
At that time there were very few scooters in town and rides were rare.
I remember first seeing a flier for the Ten Year Lates at U.C. I think it was around the late 90s. I always meant to join but never really did.
I knew Dave (of the Comet) since he used to bartend at The Cove and also rode a vintage bike (a Lammie) so I was pretty much a Comet regular since day 1, and I stumbled across the club there a couple times.
I was able to make a few Wed. night rides, and other events like parades and such, but since I normally work on the weekends and/or spend summers overseas, I never made it to the big WKRP rally (except sometimes for the evening parties).
Like a true-blue Cincinnatian, I finally made my first WKRP rally - 10 years late - at what I believe was the 10th one.
What else can I tell you about me?
I live in Cincy part time and down in rural Kentucky part time. I'm a teacher and a filmmaker.
I'm also a member of the Vulcan Scooter Secte
I own two scooters:
A vintage 1974 Vespa 90
and a modern 2006 Vespa LX-150
This summer I'm in the USA for the first time in years - I hope to get to see and ride with you all a lot!
