Merry Christmas, 2011

Unread postby Bonegirl » 21 Dec 2011, 06:56

Hi Everyone! It has been a long hard Summer and Fall for me and Ben. I have been having back and hip issues all year and Ben recently had shoulder surgery so there were many trips to doctors throughout the year.

I haven't been very active on our Forum as in the past but hope 2012 brings better health and more scootering for us!

I've already received a couple scooter ornaments from Ben and one from my Secret Santa at work. It made me think I don't want to miss an opportunity to wish all of you and your families a Very Merry Christmas!

Hope Santa brings all your heart desires. Have a wondrous and joyful Christmas!

Hey Angie, Thanks! I hope you and Ben have a wondrous & joyful Christmas as well!!

Since April of 2011, I have been visiting the doctor more than ever. I hurt my knee, then had kidney stones on top of that. I had to battle the kidney stones first then have knee surgery. In turn I lost my job of 28 years while I was on medical leave. Then they called me back after two and a half months and wanted me back, but I declined and deceided to move on. Right now I'm working full time, which was my part time job, at Meijers. I have been there for 12 years.

After all that has happened, I feel really fortunate. With the kidney stones, I quit drinking pop, and all I drink now is juice or water. It was determined I have high blood pressure so I take medicine for that now. The knee surgery gave me time off from work. Which in turn got me out of my dead end job.
Through all that Geraldine, with her shoulder surgery which she is still having trouble with, was at my side the whole time.

I'm trying to sell my mobile home now and searching for a better job than what I have now. I am thinking of going for a CDL licence since the job searching has come up empty.

I'm not sure what the up coming year brings. Geraldine needs to get her full licence still but the shoulder/arm needs more evaluations.

That's all the rambling I will do for now ........ Everyone have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Angie,
Sorry to hear you and Ben have been having health issues. I too have had a kidney stone last month and wow that is no fun. A pain like no other for sure yet I passed mine quickly so that was good.

Still have my trike up for sale and have had a few lookers but money is tight. So I might hang on to it for another year. Look forward to warmer weather so I can ride again. Take care and Merry Christmas and have a happy but most of all a healthy New Year.
