Bugs and Boobies Ride Saturdays, August 20th

Unread postby burgman2170 » 13 Aug 2011, 12:12

I just saw a pretty good ride posted in KY for next Saturday. My buddy told me about it today so I checked it out. It's a ride to support Breast Cancer cost is 10 bucks, registration from 1-3 at 7634 Alexandria Pike (27) in KY. Looks to be about a two or three hour ride over in KY with a party afterward split the pot. I think Jeff my nephew is going to go after work and I will schedule myself off for the day as well. Anyone interested?

As it turns out I will also be there, along with my good friend George who lives in Highland Heights, a few miles away. I'll be on my bright yellow Honda Reflex and he'll be on a Suzuki Marauder, we'll look for you. We'll just be doing the ride only.

Good meeting you yesterday, Les and love the Burgman trike. It was a fun ride and another great experience. It was also my maiden mission on an interstate coming from Ohio to Kentucky via I75 & 471. The Reflex did awesome. I will definitely add this ride to my growing list of yearly charity rides. Thanks for the post :)

Thanks and it was great to meet you and your buddy who had a great time. This was a well organized ride and man was there plenty of bikes on the ride. It truned out to be a great day as well with no rain. Your Reflex is awesome and love that yellow paint job. I had one girl that was interested to buy my bike. I have it up for sale has I want to get a true Trinity Trike set for a new 2010 Burgman 650. She was impressed with the bike now all she needs to do is come up with the money.

There is another ride planned for Saturday from the Harley Store in Mason by Kings Island. This is a benefit ride for Police Officer Dooley who was killed back in May. His daughter has a rare type of brain cancer. Not sure at this time if I will go in this ride or not. Ron who lives in Pleasent Plain Ohio and I want to go on a ride this Saturday but have decided what ride to go on as of yet. The Dooley ride will be well attended for sure but like last week there won't be many scooter on the ride.

After this past ride I left later not quite dark but I-275 east exit was closed so it was down 471 to downtown. I hate to ride the expressway with my trike but I had very little choice. I just floored it and hung on. I got home ok but it was an experience!

Hope to see you both on another ride soon.

There are actually 3 rides this weekend. The Hero's Ride, which I am already registered for, the CCA autism ride, that I also went on last year and was loads of fun and the Brian Dulle ride. I am bummed that all of these fell on the same day. Brian Dulle's mother is a former co worker of mine from when I worked for Butler County and a good friend so I would have loved to gone on that one. Good luck selling the trike and look forward to seeing you and the 2010 Burgman trike.
