Bonegirl hits another milestone!

Postby Bonegirl » 29 May 2009, 22:10

Here it is: 30,000 miles riding 31 months. June 30th will be 3 years I've had the Buddy but lost 4 months due to injuries that prevented me from riding. I bought it to ride, eh??? I even rode to Metro Scooter for the event. Figure it's a good place to do it since they sold me the most awesome scooter ever!!!

Good job!
I guess when you hit 100,000 miles, in a couple of years, you will have to paint a "1" in there huh?

Wow. I've only got 6200 on mine in the same amount of time if you factor in your time off for injury.

Do you have a record of all the maintenance you've done? I'd be curious to know what's been needed and how many sets of rollers and tires and stuff.

Keep riding so much and they're gonna have to surgically remove the seat from your butt!

Congrats!!!!

Does hitting milestones on a scooter mess up the suspension? I hit a pothole once that nearly tossed me.

I did have to put a new rear fork on my Buddy recently...

Milestones also screw up your control cluster, too...worse than potholes!

Don't get me started on the control cluster. When I had to fix mine I had to wait 3 weeks for a new fetzer valve to be shipped in.

I am waiting to hear from Rueve to see what they can do about fixing mine without losing my odometer miles. It was a really bad day when this happened. First lap of Tail of the Dragon and no power. I about died. My trusty mechanic, Lagerhead, hooked me up and had me running by the next morning. Now I just have to live with no fuel gauge until someone tells me what to do. If it takes 2 months to get an oil filter, this should be fun.

You can always write "+30,000" right above the odo reading with a Sharpie.
