I'll be there

I spoke with Wendy Long (Children's Hospital Cardiology) today and she is really excited about getting scooterists involved. Last year they had 750 motorcycles. I asked about pledges for money and was told money pledges were not mandatory to participate in this ride. There is a Registration Fee but any other money you would like to donate from friends and/or family should be turned in at the time of Registration.

I have Pledge Forms as well as Rider Waiver Forms if you are interested in Riding with us. Please PM me and I will send you the Forms. It's a lot easier to Register when you already have the Waiver signed in advance.

If a lot of people are interested from this Forum, we can set up meeting places to ride out together. Hope the Gem City Rollers can participate as well. I'll post it on their Forum.

Thanks to all of you.

We will be meeting at the Dillonvale Shopping Center on Saturday Morning (tomorrow, 5-17-08) at 9:15am. Will probably head out of Dillonvale (Galbraith and Plainfield Roads) around 9:30 if you're interested in joining us.

Me, Lagerhead and Burg Girl will be meeting up with some of the WOW (Women On Wheels) ladies at Dillonvale.

Sara, Jason (Gem City Rollers) and BurgWoman will me meeting us in Milford.

Anyone else interested in joining? If you have never participated in a Motorcycle Benefit Ride, this is a great time to commit to one. It is also a great cause. They are lots of fun and I am really looking forward to this one because I spoke with the organizers from Children and they are excited about having the scooterists this year. I really am excited.

If you have questions, let me know. If not, we'll see you out there!

PS Stemer, I know you'll be participating in Go Cincinnati and I hate missing that. I signed up for this ride before knowing much about the other event. I saw the mulch trucks at Crossroads early Thursday morning on the way to work!

Have fun! Sounds like a great event. Sorry to miss it. I'm actually not participating in Go Cinci. I have a class in the morning (FPU) and a wedding to do in the afternoon. So trying to squeeze Go Cinci in was going to be a little too much. Have a great ride!

All I can say is you all need to plan on doing this event next year. I don't know yet how many bikes showed up but it was mind boggling. We had a showing of 5 scooters (me, Ben, Holly, Deb and Jason from GCR). It was a very long day but well worth the time and money spent. Next year we will have to get all the scooters together, though.
